You’ll be treated to music by the Choral Artists, original works by The OK Factor, and scores where we join forces to present music by René Clausen, Eric Whitacre, Heinrich Schutz, and several folk songs and spirituals. We’ll close the concert with communal singing that includes you, our wonderful audience members!

A Look Ahead with Artistic Director Michael Culloton
“The 2019-20 concert season will begin with a concert featuring guest artists The OK Factor, a violin and cello duo from the Twin Cities who are being heard more and more on Minnesota Public Radio! Our upcoming winter concert will feature beloved choral classics alongside the world premiere of a new score by young composer Connor Koppin in one of the most beautiful acoustic venues in the region, Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church in Fargo. In April, we are excited to conclude our season with a musical celebration of our anniversary that will include a wide variety of music that will focus on the power of the human voice. Please enjoy more information on our website, and consider sponsoring a specific singer (or two!) by making a donation on our ticket page. We appreciate your support, and look forward to seeing you at our concerts!”
About the Collaboration with The OK Factor
The OK Factor has been in residence with Minnesota Public Radio’s Class Notes Artists program (’16), at The Grand Theater in Wausau (’17), College of Saint Benedict (’17) and Luther College (’18), sharing their intimate performances, outreach activities, and educational workshops with these communities. Their passion for education has taken them across the United States to conduct workshops with students, and has led to their new education initiative, ATLAS. ATLAS is aimed at exciting and encouraging students of all ages to explore what music means to them as community members and as individuals, to find their unique musical voice, and how they can use that voice to foster meaningful, life-changing opportunities.
Olivia and Karla are sought-after collaborators, having partnered with numerous Minnesota composers and musicians including singer-songwriters Ellis Delaney and Lynn O’Brien, percussionists Jenny Klukken and Krissy Bergmark, and composer and Boston Ballet Music Director, Mischa Santora, among others. They have appeared as opening acts for Charlie Parr, The High Kings, and Swedish quintet Jaerv, as well as composers-in-residence for digital music library Black Label Music. The OK Factor has produced four studio albums of their original pieces and arrangements: Water Street (’14), That’s Enough of That (’16), Have Yourself an OK Christmas (’17), and Love, The OK Factor, Lullabies & Love Songs, released in January of 2019.
