APT, the arts incubator, is about to get much busier.
The Arts Partnership is launching a Holiday Art Market at APT from November 25, Small Business Saturday, through January 6.
Open Thursdays from 4:30-8 pm and Saturdays from 10-2, the Holiday Art Market will feature multiple APT studio artists as well as temporary studio spaces filled with other area artists. In addition, there will be live music, wine tastings and snacks many Thursdays as well as excellent coffee and breakfast treats for sale on Saturdays throughout the run of the Market.
“Our hope with the Holiday Art Market is to really excite the community with a full artistic experience each time they come to APT throughout the holidays with tastes, experiences, performances and opportunities to meet with artists, purchase locally made art and even make some of their own,” said Dayna Del Val, President and CEO of The Arts Partnership. “We also want to engage a large number of artists of all types to showcase the incredible talent of our community and just continue to grow the arts.”
While the times will be consistent throughout the seven weeks, what you will experience inside APT each week will not. Each week will bring in different, additional outside artists, different opportunities to make art and different performers. Thursdays will be more focused on grown up activities while Saturdays will be family-focused, but everyone is, of course, welcome on every day APT is open.
Del Val added, “It’s such a treat for us to have a physical space to showcase the arts in this new way; we are thrilled to be providing this platform to the community and look forward to meeting many new people from inside and out of the metro through the arts.”
A weekly updated schedule of artists involved and activities planned will be available at aptartmarket.com starting on November 25.
