Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre presents Tuesdays With Morrie
The touching true story based on the New York Times Best Selling novel comes to The Stage one weekend only in March
Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre (FMCT) presents TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE one weekend only on March 21-23 at 7:30pm and March 24 at 2pm at The Stage at Island Park.
Accomplished and career-focused journalist, Mitch Albom, learns his former professor, Morrie Schwartz, is battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Prompted by this information while feeling guilty that he had lost touch for all those years, Mitch reconnects with his terminally-ill teacher for a simple visit. That turned into another visit, and another, and every Tuesday Morrie had left in his life. Their wise and loving conversations— a last class in the meaning of life— became the basis for the best-selling novel from which this play is adapted.
This story about living and dying will feature Doug Hamilton, Host of “Main Street” on Prairie Public’s North Dakota radio network, as Morrie and Nicholas Kaspari as Mitch.
Guest director Dr. David Wheeler directs this true story based on Mitch Albom’s New York Times Best Selling novel by the same name. With the guidance of Dr. David Wheeler, the talented two-person cast seamlessly shares this powerful story and its lessons on life, death, dignity, love, and happiness with audiences.
Audio description will be available on March 23. Assistive listening devices are available to patrons at the FMCT Box Office for all performances.
Tickets go on sale Monday, March 4. Become an FMCT Member for pre-sale ticket access two weeks before the general public. For all ticketing and membership information, visit fmct.org or call 701.235.6778.
