Local award-winning organist Ryan Hardy takes the audience on a musical journey through time exploring the changing roles and styles of film music from its beginnings in the early 1900s to present day thrillers, dramas, and animated movies. Experience the sound of the Mighty Wurlitzer in concert at its first featured concert-style program at the Fargo Theatre since 2005!
Prologue Music played by Matt Clark, a senior music student at Concordia College, will begin at 3:45 PM.
Hardy, a music education student at North Dakota State University, has been named a finalist four times in the international Young Theatre Organists Competition and has performed for audiences in Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Santa Monica. He currently serves as the President of the Red River Theatre Organ Society, and is the choir accompanist for the Sts. Anne and Joachim Church choir.
Proceeds from the concert will go towards the continued maintenance and repair work required to keep the music of the Mighty Wurlitzer playing for audiences in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
