MSUM’s University Theatre presents concert version of HAIR
A concert version of the hit rock opera Hair takes the Hansen Theatre stage at Minnesota State University Moorhead for one performance only on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m (it used to be Thursday, Feb. 7 but was changed due to weather).
Hair celebrates ‘60s counterculture and features songs like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning, Starshine,” “Hair,” “I Got Life,” and “Let The Sun Shine.” Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, HAIR remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.
All tickets for this event are just $5. Go to www.tickets.mnstate.edu. Tickets are also available through the MSUM Box Office Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. at (218) 477-2271, or at the door before the performance. Hansen Theatre is located in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts on the MSUM campus.
This event was funded in part by Minnesota Remembers Vietnam, an initiative led by Twin Cities PBS (TPT) and aimed at inspiring Minnesotans to remember, share stories, recognize bravery, express their reasons for dissent, and foster understanding around the lasting impact of war. TPT is partnering with the Minnesota Humanities Center to bring public conversations around these topics to communities across the state, thanks to support from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with a vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
