From Saffron and Rosewater to Blood and Oil: Iran and Its Culture at Fargo Public Library

March 24 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Fargo Public Library, in partnership with the Cultural Diversity Resources Center, will host “From Saffron and Rosewater to Blood and Oil: Iran and Its Culture,” a presentation by Miriam Dashtipour highlighting Iran’s history and culture at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at the downtown Main Library.
Dashtipour’s dual citizenship with America and Iran has enabled her to obtain knowledge and observations of modern-day Iran through an American lens. She will discuss the history, culture, political system, geography and religion to help people better understand the country and its people. All ages are welcome and light snacks will be served. For details, contact Melisa Duncan at 701.476.4076 or visit www.fargolibrary.org.
Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public; adults must accompany children age 9 and younger. For more information about the Fargo Public Library and a complete list of upcoming events, call 701.241.1472 or visit www.fargolibrary.org.
