As you settle into the holiday season we’d love for you to join us for this Friday’s CreativeMornings in Fargo! You can grab your free ticket here and come hang out at the beautiful Drekker Brewhalla space we’ve had the honor of hosting the past few CreativeMornings in.
The challenge with restarting is that we often save it for the end rather than creating pockets throughout our weeks where we prioritize reflection and solitude.
Restarting is essential. It’s a way to digest experiences, reflect and cultivate self-awareness, and remind ourselves that life is to be enjoyed. It’s refreshing and feeds greater intention and momentum into our creative endeavors.
If you find yourself feeling like you’re on a treadmill with an invisible hand increasing the velocity, remind yourself: only you have the power to get off and recalibrate.
This month’s speaker on the topic of “Restart” is Jesse Hoorelbeke! Jesse is a professional commercial photographer for the last 7 years in Fargo and the owner of J. Alan Paul Photography. You’ve seen his work featured all around the Upper Midwest in hundreds of publications, billboards, websites, social media, and bathroom wall advertisements. He has also been helpful in shooting photos of some of our first CreativeMornings events here in Fargo (you’ve probably seen him hanging out on the side or in back with a camera).
But, his restarting secret is that he hasn’t always been a photographer. Come hear his transformative story of how he had to restart his life and career: transforming a hobby into a passion, and ultimately into a career he wasn’t necessarily expecting.
