“The British are coming! The British are coming!”
… to Symphony Rocks, that is!
Come listen to your favorite British groups performed live by the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra and Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome at 8 p.m. Thursday, August 16 at the beautiful Bluestem Center for the Arts in Moorhead.
The concert features hits by Led Zeppelin, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Queen, Yes, The Beatles and more.
To open the concert, the F-M Symphony will play “Rule Brittania” and themes from “Downton Abbey,” “Masterpiece Theatre” and “Dr. Who.” Post-Traumatic Funk Syndrome will then join the orchestra on stage for interpretations of classics like “Magical Mystery Tour,” “Kashmir,” “Roundabout” and “Eleanor Rigby,” “Nights in White Satin” all the way to present day hits by Adele and Ed Sheeran.
With casual seating on general admission benches, lawns perfect for dancing or lounging on blankets, this is a wonderful show for ALL ages.
To get you in the British mindset (and get early-bird parking), you can also attend the British Pub Pre-Party before the concert from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Marcil Commons (ages 21+). Tickets are an additional $35 and include a pub-style buffet (including bangers and mash, Guinness beer cheese soup, vegetarian shepherds’ pie and braised beef and ale pie), one free drink plus cash bar and a chance to win prizes.
